She informed me that she had been trying for two days! I drive down and 4th try it started and the next 10 tries afterwards. Now my mom drives the 1997 regularly and just called that it won't start at all. 'oh contraire' it still does it occasionally. Since the starter had the solenoid built on it I thought I would replace it and problem solved. Now the 1997 I ordered new and has done it from day one. Here's the issue, occasionally when I go to start the starter will spin with out engaging the the solenoid and so it just makes a screaming sound. I have a 1997 F150 5.4 Auto 4x4 SuperCab and a 2000 Shortbox 5.4 4x4 (Daily driver).
